Here at Cambridgeshire Family Chiropractic you may often hear us talking about the habits of health, and how these contribute to the process of regaining health, and remaining healthy. Habits start from a young age, so the right ones need to be implemented right from the word go, in order to be ingrained in our children’s minds.
These 7 Healthy Habits are so simple, but what takes more endeavour is the the practice of implementation, and the consistency. Each of the 7 Habits needs to be implemented on a daily basis in order to ensure that it lasts a lifetime. So what exactly are the 7 Habits?
- Exercise and stretching
- Vitamin D
- Adequate Rest
- Positive Mental Attitude
- Mind Body Connection
Consider this: we are born to be healthy and we all have an innate intelligence that allows us to grow, heal and thrive. Something must be going wrong somewhere then, when we have more chronic non infectious diseases than ever. Not only is this causing problems with the health of our children, it is putting a huge strain on our national health resources. Our body systems work in a close symbiosis with our environment, adapting to it, allowing us to thrive within it. It is our senses (through our central nervous system) that allow us to interact with our environment in a healthy manner. This keeps us happy, healthy and well, through the choices we make. Of course it’s the choices that we start making for more than just ourselves once we start a family. It makes sense that we foster a lifestyle in our children that allows them to thrive in their environment, rather than survive despite it.
Over the years we have seen many children and their families, who we have helped to take control and responsibility for their health and learn how to provide their body with the elements it needs to heal and thrive, thus keeping Happy Healthy and Well. Look out for our new book “7 Habits of Health” available in May 2016 from Amazon, Createspace and our chiropractic centre.
